UFC 268 is being headlined by a welterweight championship fight between Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington. “The Nigerian Nightmare” has already beaten once Colby back in 2019, defending his welterweight gold.
Now, almost two years ago the American is getting the chance to redeem himself. Fight fans all over the world are eager to see what will happen this time, and that’s why UFC has revealed that there is a plan B in case injury or something else happens.
Vicente Luque, will serve as the back-up fighter in case Usman or Covington aren’t capable of competing. Teh 29-year-old Brazilian-American is on a four-fight winning streak and many believe he’s next in line to challenge for the belt.
Luque will weigh-in on Friday just like the other fighters on the card and his services will be needed (God forbid) if the champ or the challenger can’t step inside the octagon.
