Former two-time world heavyweight title challenger Kubrat Pulev has said that Ukraine’s Oleksandr Usyk is the favorite to win his upcoming reamtch with Anthony Joshua. Not only that, but according to the Bulgarian Joshua will get knocked out in the second meeting between the Brit and the Ukrainian.
As of this moment, there is no official date on the rematch. Several weeks ago Eddie Hearn stated that the fight will be held in Saudi Arabia with August being the month they have in mind.
Joshua’s last win was in December 2020 against Pulev himself. “AJ” KO’d the challenger, but Pulev believes Joshua is “nothing special”.
“When they make a rematch, I think Usyk is going to knock him out because Joshua is nothing special,” the Bulgarian said when speaking recently with IFL TV. “I lost against him but I wasn’t good prepared. It’s my mistake, of course. It’s my fault, but that was the situation. Now I’m a lot of power and energy. Health is most important.”
