The city of Mexico DF in Mexico hosts the 31st edition of the Pan American Cadet, Junior & U21 Karate Championships.
Hundreds of youngsters from the Americas will be travelling to the capital city of Mexico to showcase the strength of Karate at young ages in the continent.
The competition is scheduled from August 25 to 27 and will be held at Gimnasio Olimpico Juan de la Barrera sports hall. It is the first time that the underage championships in the Americas will be held in over two years due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
With the powerhouse nations of the region ready to clash to state the prevalence of their grassroots programmes, the PKF Cadet, Junior & U21 Championships will also introduce the future stars of the sport in the continent.
Brazil topped the medal table of the last edition of the PKF Cadet, Junior & U21 Championships which was held in Guayaquil (Ecuador) in 2019. The Brazilian delegation took home 32 medals including 12 golds. Venezuela with 25 medals and the United States with 28 medals also performed at an excellent level in Guayaquil.
