We are less than three months away from the ADCC World Championships, and the men’s 66 kg. division is now full. This last Friday, the ADCC announced that returning 77 kg. ADCC medalist Garry Tonon will drop down to compete at 66 kg., making him the 16th and final competitor in that division.
A representative of New Wave Jiu-Jitsu and a longtime student of John Danaher, Tonon is widely considered one of the most entertaining grapplers in the world. In recent years, Tonon has focused much of his efforts on his professional MMA career with ONE Championship, competing in submission grappling just four times since the 2019 ADCC World Championships.
Below is the current roster of athletes scheduled to compete in the 66 kg. division at the 2022 ADCC World Championships.
