UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya defeated Jared Cannonier in the main event of UFC 276. “The Last Stylebender” cruised to the W and after the full five rounds the judges scored the fight 49-46, 49-46 and 50-45 all in favor of the New Zealander.

Adesanya, 32, defended his belt for a fifth consecutive time. Adesanya followed the game plan, and at times it was boring to watch, but Izzy was in control from the beginning to the end.
Cannonier wasn’t able to overcome the height and reach advantage Adesanya, as the challenger was relying on his low kicks, but he couldn’t do much damage with them.
Adesanya was mixing it up and was landing big shots, but Cannonier wasn’t backing down. Cannonier, getting his first UFC title shot at 38 years old, struggled to find a consistent striking range, and he didn’t show enough desperation to figure it out.
