The future of Karate will meet in Santiago, Chile from October 23 to 27 in the 2019 World Cadet, Junior & U21 Championships. The countdown to the anticipated event starts now with the publication of the first official bulletin.
Thousands of youngsters from all over the world are expected to meet in Santiago in the biggest world event of underage Karate. The tournament will take place at the Polideportivo Estadio Nacional sports hall from October 23 to 27, 2019; five days to crown the up-and-coming stars of the sport.
The 11th World Cadet, Junior & U21 Championships aims to continue the success of the last editions of the massive competition. The last world underage tournament was held in Tenerife (Spain) in 2017. Over 1600 athletes from 107 countries participated at the event thus breaking all participation records of previous editions.
Japan topped the medal table of the 2017 World Cadet, Junior & U12 Championships with 18 medals including ten golds. Egypt and Turkey also registered notable performances with 15 and 11 medals respectively.
