Atanas Bozhilov is trying to strengthen his legendary status for SENSHI with another fight on September 16th against Madicke Kamara in the KWU Full Contact 70 kg. category. He acknowledges the fact that his opponent is a complete kickboxer who has more than 100 fights in hi resume and that means that he has experience on his side two. Boec reached out to Atanas a week before the gala by the sea to check on his preparation and his opinion on his rival.
“I saw that he has allot of fights. Around 100 with 75 wins. He even fought for Glory and other big promotions. I couldn’t check if he won victories there but never the less his opponent wore some serious fighters. We missed on a fight between us back then before the Pandemic of COVID-19 but the organization failed. Now I am glad that we can face each other at SENSHI 18 and I hope that I can get the win“, Bozhilov said about Kamara.
In his research with his team they found out that Fernando Martin was also facing him a while back. The Spaniard lost to the Bulgarian at SENSHI 15 earlier this year and it seams that the two of them have some similar style.
“He was very aggressive against him with constant attacks. But in other cases he was very tactical on the back foot. I can’t say how he is going to approach me because he can do it all – with aggression, with a tactical fight, with calmness. He is a well rounded and prepared fighter. And if he got a shot at the European 5×3 title then I hope he is going to be on a high level physically and strategically“, added Bozhinov.
We are just a few days from SENSHI 18 and Atanas Bozhilov knows that it is time to take care of the extra weight. He is 3-4 kg. away from the category and in order to lose them he is doing sprints with different intensity, jumping jacks, shadow boxing and all of the classic exercises for loosing weight.
