Bulgaria will have a strong presence at this year’s Kyokushin tournament World Cup Varna 2024 for juniors, girls, and cadets. It begins on July 2 at 10 AM at the Sports and Wellness Complex in Kamchia, Bulgaria, with 60 representatives from the country vying for medals. The competitions will be held in three age groups: 14-15 years, 16-17 years, and 18-21 years.
The Interest in the Varna World Cup remains high this year. Nearly 300 competitors from a total of 28 countries will participate in the tournament. Among the medal contenders are representatives from exotic countries such as Brazil, Bolivia, Japan, and Chile, as well as Kyokushin competitors from the USA and Norway, who have traveled to participate in the prestigious tournament.
Throughout the day on July 2, matches for juniors and cadets will take place on separate mats. Champions and prize winners (1st to 3rd place) in the 14-15 and 16-17 age categories will be awarded medals, certificates, and cups of their respective classes. In the 18-21 age category, those placing 1st to 4th will also receive cash prizes.
World Cup Varna 2024 for juniors and cadets aged 14 to 21 is organized as part of the diverse program of the 18th International Summer Martial Arts Camp in Kamchia, which starts on July 1 and runs through July 7. The camp is unique in the world of martial arts and is organized by the International Professional League of KWU and the Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Organization. This year, nearly 2000 participants from around the world will join the camp, with opportunities to train in kickboxing, Kyokushin, Kudo, and Iaido with some of the biggest names in martial arts, such as shihan Akira Masuda, shihan Semmy Schilt, Ernesto Hoost, Albert Kraus, world-renowned martial arts masters shihan Francisco Filho, shihan Glaube Feitosa, sensei Everton Teixeira, sensei Tariel Nikoleishvili, and sensei Zahari Damyanov.
