The World Taekwondo Championships shows a clearer image of the athletes that will compete in the Olympic Games. They are next year in Tokyo.
The Wold competition held From 15-19 May in Manchester (United Kingdom). Close to 1000 athletes from 150 countries all over the world fought to show who is the best.
The overall medal acquisition for Europe was 43.75% – almost half of the prize pool.

After the World Taekwondo Championships, the G4 European Taekwondo Championships and the European Qualification Tournament and the European Senior Taekwondo Championships that will follow in 2019 and early 2020, will be the ones that will determine the taekwondo athletes that will represent Europe in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, reports “Taekwondo Europe”.
