This weekend marks the return of former unified middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (38-1-1). Tomorrow night Madison Square Garden will host the fight between “GGG” and Canada’s Steve Rolls (19-0).
The last time we saw Kazakhstan’s finest in action was last September when he lost his rematch with Saul Alvarez in Las Vegas. A couple of months ago the 37-years-old Kazakh signed a three-fight deal with DAZN and the first task in front of him is the undefeated Rolls.
The Canadian previous fight was in December when he defeated KeAndrae Leatherwood via UD for the vacant USBA Middleweight Title.
Three days ago both boxers made their public workouts in New York City. Both Golovkin and Rolls demonstrated just a glimpse of their speed and power. A lot of fans were asking themselves if “GGG” still got it, but the video is speaking for itself. Rolls, on the other hand, showcased some elite left hooks and jabs and if the 35-years-old wants to shock the world, he’ll have to use them perfectly tomorrow night.
