A total of 4273 people took part in a mass boxing lesson yesterday in Moscow’s Red Square on Sunday in an attempt to set a new world record.
The mass boxing event was held on the International Boxing Day which is celebrated on July 21. Officials from the Guinness Book of Records did they counting but are yet to confirm if the feat has officially set a new record. Two years ago, a total of 3, 047 people took part in the same event, setting the current world record.
Former world champion Roy Jones Jr. led the boxing lessons while another former world champion – Nikolai Valuev did some shadow-boxing right next to the Kremlin Wall.
