Former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman (14-4) will be making his return to the Octagon this fall. The American is about to make his debut at the light heavyweight division and his first adversary will be Dominick Reyes (11-0), per multiple sources.

The bout between the two is scheduled to headline UFC on ESPN 6 which will take place in Boston on October 18.
“The All-American” last fought in November 2018 when he lost via KO by Ronaldo Souza at UFC 230. The 35-year-old missed the first half of 2019 due to an arm injury, but a month ago he said that he’ll be moving up in weight.
The undefeated Dominick Reyes’s last bout was in March 2019 when he defeated Volkan Oezdemir via SD. Both of the fighters gave their verbal agreement on the fight and the contract should be signed any day now.
