Japan women wrestling team notched their fifth straight Wrestling World Cup this past weekend.
The 2019 Women’s Wrestling World Cup took place in Narita, a Japanese city located 40 km from Tokyo, the place where the 2020 Summer Olympic games will take place.
The best six countries from the World Championships in September participated in the tournament.
In Round 1 the host nation demolished Ukraine 9-1 and in Round 2 Japan defeated China 6-4. The final matchup was between Japan and the USA with the Asian wrestlers dominating and winning7 out of 10.

Team China finished in third place, followed by Mongolia, Ukraine and Russia.
