Moscow was a host of the historical first World Championship for all styles karate.
The first of its kind event was held on the 23th and the 24th of November in the Track and field hall of CSKA’s sports complex. Over 1500 fighters from 36 countries participated on the 10 tatamis, at Sunday many spectators on the stands saw emotional full contact battles and semi contact for kids, women, men and veterans.
Organizer of the championship was International All Style Karate Federation (IASKF). It’s president Shihan Ramil Gabbasov took time to talk especially to BOEC.COM.
“The interest in the format is huge. As every beginning and first World Championship, I think we did a good job. Our goals to develop and popularize martial arts with the younger generation and the results, which we saw those two days, show us that we are on the right track. Personally I am very pleased, there are many more things to be done, organizational wise. I am truly impressed by the battles we have seen these days. Congratulations to all the participants – competitors, coaches and people, who have worked on the organization! Us!”, said Shihan Ramil Gabbasov.
