UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman is just a couple of days away from getting inside the cage once again with Jorge Masvidal himself.
The pair initially met last year when Masvidal step in as a late replacement of Gilbert Burns. “Gamebred” wasn’t too much of a challenge for the “Nigerian Nightmare”, but now Jorge had several months in order to prepare properly for his biggest fight.
Still, a lot of people think Masvidal is not on the level of Usman and there’s no way “The Baddest Mf” can beat the champ.
And if that’s the case, Usman’s next opponent is once again an old foe.
According to UFC President Dana White, if the 33-year-old king of the welterweight manages to get past Masvidal, his next challenger will be Colby Covington.

Usman defeated Colby back in 2019 via TKO in the fifth. Since then, Covington has fought only once – a victory over Tyron Woodley in September of 2020.
