Former UFC light heavyweight challenger Alexander Gustafsson has been forced to withdraw from his upcoming bout against Paul Craig. The pair had to fight on September 4 when UFC Vegas 36 will be taking place. The reason behind the withdraw is still undisclosed.
Gustafsson hasn’t competed since July 2020, when he suffered a first-round submission loss to Fabricio Werdum in his heavyweight debut. The Swede is on a three-fight losing streak, dating back since December 2018.
It remains to be seen if Craig will stay on the card against another adversary or the fight will be pushed back entirely. The 33-year-old Craig is on a three-fight winning streak.
