A spectacular bantamweight clash has been added to the UFC San Diego fight card that is scheduled to take place on May 16.
Multiple sources are stating that Aljamain Sterling (18-3) will be facing Cory Sandhagen (12-1) in what could be a title eliminator for a shot against Henry Cejudo.
As of now, the fight is tentatively agreed upon for the card in San Diego but every UFC event remains influx due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak that has already forced the promotion to cancel three recent shows.
The 30-year-old Sterling won 6 of his 7 previous fights and he’s ranked #2 in the bantamweight rankings. He was last seen in action on June 8, 2019, when he defeated Pedro Munhoz.
Sandhagen, 27, is 5-0 in his UFC career and he’s ranked #4 in the bantamweight rankings. His last fight was a victory over Raphael Assuncao at UFC 241 last August.
