As Andy Ruiz prepares himself for his May 1st fight against Chris Arreola, Ruiz showcases his current physical condition and it’s readily apparent that he’s dropped a good bit of weight from the last time we saw him in the Anthony Joshua rematch a year-and-a-half ago.
Since that loss Ruiz has teamed up with Eddy Reynoso, who notably trains Canelo Alvarez, and says he’s had better discipline instilled inside of him with this new team behind him. Ruiz has obviously lost a lot of pounds and he looks pretty sharp and responsive at this lighter weight.
Check out some video footage of Ruiz in camp (going through some shadowboxing and defensive drills with his trainer) courtesy of our friends from Fight Hub TV leading into his FOX PPV main event in just a couple of weeks time. Ruiz probably can’t afford any slip ups in this outing if he intends to contend for a world title again.
