Heavyweight boxing powerhouse Anthony Joshua is already thinking about the end of his career at the age of 31.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Joshua says he’s always planned for the future so it’s no wonder he has the foresight to know when things should start coming to a close for him — and Joshua says that’s in just about five years.
“This isn’t the start of my career. I’m coming towards the end of my career,” Joshua told Sky Sports News…Five years left and that’s basically an Olympic cycle. I’ve got an Olympic cycle and a little bit more left, so when you see the next Olympics happen is when I’ll be coming to the end of my career and the next generation will be coming through.”
Joshua is most recently coming off a stoppage win over Kubrat Pulev this past December and is hoping to soon stage an undisputed heavyweight title unification with Tyson Fury. In his career he also holds notable wins over Wladimir Klitchko, Dilliyan Whyte and Andy Ruiz.
