Ariel Machado gave us one of the biggest upsets at SENSHI 22 with his KO victory against Giannis Stoforidis. He suffered two knockdowns just to make a comeback in stop the Greek near the coast of the Black sea.
The Brazilian was in survival mode in the first round and he couldn’t be happier when the bell saved him from the storm that game from the other side of the ring.
The tides have turned after one single mistake made by Giannis. In the second round they wore in a clinch and got the order from Sam Greco to step back. He let his hands down and exposed his chin to Machado who instantly landed a hard punch and send him to the ground. Stoforidis was nearly counted out but he found a way back up only for another combination that ended the bout in a shocking fashion.
There wore comments afterwards that the first incident was an illegal blow but Greco confirmed that the fighters must protect themselves at all time. We are sure that Giannis Stoforidis will never make the same mistake twice in his lifetime.
