GLORY 77 is shaping up to be one of the best kickboxing events in a long time.
The fight night is scheduled for January 30 in Netherland with heavyweight champion Rico Verhoeven facing Jammal Ben Saddik in the main event. But that won’t be the only championship bout that will take place that night.
The co-main event will produce a light heavyweight super clash between the champion Artem Vakhitov and the interim light heavyweight king and current middleweight champ Alex Pereira.
Russia’ Vakhitov hasn’t fought since the summer of 2019 when he produced a masterclass performance against Donegi Abena, making his fifth consecutive successful defense of his title.
Pereira, on the other hand, fought this past month, but in the field of mixed martial arts. The last time “Poatan” was seen inside the kickboxing ring was back in December 2019 when he defeated Ertugrul Bayrak, defending his middleweight belt.
