Bellator MMA has decided to postpone Friday night’s event in Connecticut.
Less than 24 hours after Bellator president Scott Coker announced that Bellator 241 would proceed without fans at Mohegan Sun Arena, the promotion has ultimately decided to postpone the event due to the threat of the coronavirus.
The fights scheduled for the card will be rescheduled, but it’s unclear when they will take place. A decision has yet to be made regarding Bellator’s upcoming schedule. The next event is set for May 9 in San Jose, California.
The Connecticut event was to feature two Bellator Grand Prix featherweight quarterfinal fights, including a featherweight contest between the titleholder Patricio Freire against Pedro Carvalho.
