While Usman Nurmagomedov is in no rush to get into the top-10, he certainly fought with a sense of urgency in his second appearance in the Bellator cage.
The cousin of former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov improved to 13-0 with a first-round TKO win over Manny Muro on the main card of Saturday’s Bellator 263 event in Inglewood, Calif. The 23-year-old super prospect was dominant from the opening bell and capped things off with a vicious knee to the body of Muro which was the beginning of the end of the 155-pound bout.

While Nurmagomedov has finished eight of his 13 victories with strikes, he was able to show off his wrestling game, dragging Muro to the mat and looking for submissions. Muro was able to fend off the dangers on the ground and got back to his feet, engaging in a battle against the fence with his opponent. The knee would land, followed by some nasty hammer fists before referee Frank Trigg had seen enough.
Nurmagomedov picked up his first Bellator finish following a dominant decision win over Mike Hamel in his promotional debut at Bellator 255 in April. The loss for Muro snapped his three-fight winning streak.
