Atanas Bozhilov lost his European SENSHI title against Samo Petje after a doctor’s stoppage because of a nasty cut above his left eye. But both of them admitted before Boec that they will go for a rematch and the Bulgarian pointed his vision towards the Fall of 2024.
“Most probably we won’t fight at the next SENSHI but later this year maybe. I was waiting for a World title fight but now it can be for the European belt. As far as I know, he wanted also the rematch but also wants to take revenge on Drago Petrov. He said that he respects me and will give me the rematch if I ask for it“, said Bozhilov.
Petrov won his bout with Petje but in the lighter division. This also has huge potential because both of them currently have champions status.
“I knew it will be such a nice and hard bout. I was ready for it. In the first round I think that it was tight and maybe even he got it. In the second I found my rhythm and most definitely got in my way. The third we was what fighting is really about. It was a matter of chance. I don’t even know what hit me. Was it with his head or with his knee… Most probably it was with his knee despite the fact there was allot of nasty hits. He is a good opponent, a classy fighter and we had a good match, that’s it. Things like that do happen some times but we keep up going“, Nakata added after his SENSHI 22 match.
The next big international fight gala will be held in September but we are still waiting on the official date. SENSHI is preparing something big so it is almost certain that Bozhilov and Petje will face each other in the Fall.
