One of the most popular Muay Thai fighters in today’s day and age – Buakaw Banchamek, will face Brazil’s Andre Dida this upcoming October.
The pair will square off for a second time following their initial 2009 contest when Buakaw managed to get the UD win. The first bout was so disputed that the judges needed an extra round in order to choose a winner.
The rematch will take place at “World Siam Stadium” in Thailand.
Banchamek owns a Muay Thai record of 239 wins and 24 losses. The Thai knockout artist is on a 7 fight winning streak, claiming victories in 14 of his previous 15 bouts.
Dida, on the other hand, is 2-4 in Muay Thai. The South American was last seen inside the ropes in 2014 when he defeated Li Yankun from China.
