Bulgaria’s Stoyka Krasteva captures women’s flyweight gold

One of Bulgaria’s finest boxers – Stoyka Krasteva, is the new women’s flyweight Olympic champion.

The 35-year-old Bulgarian defeated Turkey’s Buse Naz Cakiroglu at Tokyo 2020’s penultimate day. The Bulgarian got the W via UD, as the triumph marked the first ever gold medal from women’s boxing competition.

Krasteva displayed her top notch skills once again, making it look easy against one of the top dogs in the -51 kg category. The Bulgarian had a brilliant fight plan and she stuck to it, winning the fight thanks to her unbelievable feet speed and great counter hooks.
