The 2021 EKF Senior Championships is now on the horizon. The official bulletin of the event which will be held in Porec (Croatia) from May 19 to 23 has been published thus opening the door to the anticipated continental tournament.
The best karatekas in Europe will be clashing in Porec to become the new kings and queens of the sport in the continent and to take the last points to qualify for the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
Included in the qualifying process for Tokyo 2020, the 2021 EKF Senior Championships represent the last opportunity for European karatekas to earn the tickets to qualify for the Olympic Games before the Olympic Qualification tournament in June.
Zatika Sports Centre will be the venue where a thrilling episode of European Karate’s history will be written. The official bulletin now online on EKF and WKF websites offers all the general information for the event including the COVID-19 countermeasures and all the requirements to access the tournament.
“The 56th European Championships have come a long way, but they will finally be held in an ideal venue: the city of Porec in Croatia. Co-organized by the European Karate Federation and the Croatian Karate Union, this event will be a celebration of the unity of our sport and commemoration of our strength to prevail even under the most difficult circumstances,” states EKF and WKF President Antonio Espinós in the foreword.
