Former UFC vet and current Bellator heavyweight title contented Cheick Kongo has signed a new multi-fight contract with Bellator MMA.
The French mixed martial artist will continue his career under the Bellator banner, but terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Kongo was last seen in action in September when his championship fight with Ryan Bader ended in a “No Contest” because of an eye poke. The 44-year-old vet has signed with Bellator in 2013 following an 18-fight stint in the UFC.
He has compiled a 12-2-1 mark during his tenure with the Scott Coker-led promotion, earning notable wins over the likes of Vitaly Minakov, Timothy Johnson, Alexander Volkov, Augusto Sakai, and Lavar Johnson.
