Clarisse Agbegnenou: I’m not in a hurry, want a baby? Why not

French judo star and double Olympic Champion Clarisse Agbegnenou was absent during the Grand Slam in Paris.

She was awarded by the loyal crowd in the AccorArena together with Tina Trstenjak.

Agbegnenou announced she will also skip other events for now which includes the Grand Slam in Baku scheduled for November. She might even skip more event in the occasion of a possible maternity break before the ultimate goal of the Paris Games in 2024.

“As far as I am concerned, following this intense period of the Games, I need to rest, to cut some time from the demands and to devote myself to choosing, such as going for a walk in the mountains for example”, said Agbegnenou.

“I also asked you to send me a business, like my life coach degree, without choosing my goal for the next Olympic Games in my hometown. But before this change, I would like to win the big events, like the European championships, the World championships, and because the Paris Tournament.”

“It’s a great way to warm up for the Games at home, but right now I’m not in a hurry. Want a baby? Why not, I’m not closing my doors. On the contrary, it is true that at a given moment it is not possible. If it arrives before March 2022, it will take time for me to recover. Otherwise, we’ll put it off until later. ”
