Curtis Blaydes is now on a two-fight winning streak after “Razor” TKO’d Chris Daukaus in UFC Columbus’ main event.
Blaydes kept his spot as one of the top-ranked heavyweight contenders when he earned a second-round TKO victory over Daukaus.
Both guys displayed their great standing skills, as there were no takedowns on neither side. Blaydes was boxing pretty well, as he was doing damage on the inside.
17 seconds into the second round Daukaus got caught with a massive right hand to the head that was followed up by a barrage of strikes which left the referee with no other option then to wave off the bout.
Afterward, Blaydes said he’d like a title shot. But when told former heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic was in the crowd, he said he may have to go through him to get one – and would welcome the opportunity.
