UFC President Dana White knows what is the next challenge is in store for the women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko.
According to the main man, “The Bullet” will be facing Brazil’s Jessica Andrade in her next title defense.
Shevchenko, 32, is fresh off of her 4th consecutive successful title defense. She demolished Jennifer Maia at UFC 255, but the Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian fighter will have to face another former champion in his next outing.
“Andrade is a very good fight for her. That’s a tough fight… Andrade will bring a lot of things she has never seen before, not to mention the power. She just knocked a girl out, the number two girl with a body shot”, Dana White Said at the post-fight interview.
“She is a real problem for Shevchenko… If she does, I think the fight that makes more sense is, Weili Zhang will fight here soon and Zhang may get in between those two. But I don’t know, just off the top of my head,” he added.
Andrade, 29, defeated Katlyn Chookagian in her last fight in October 2020.
