UFC President Dana White has finally confirmed what everybody knew – Francis Ngannou will be the next guy to fight for the UFC heavyweight crown.
The Cameroonian-french is probably the most dominant fighter in his weight class, as he is 10-2 since he signed with UFC and is the current #2 guy in the heavyweight standings.
Tonight the heavyweight belt will be on the line when Stipe Miocic defends the strap against Daniel Cormier and the probability of the winner facing Ngannou in his next fight is somewhere around 99.9%.
“Francis is next in line,” White said. “Again, we’ll see what happens on Saturday, and then yeah, Francis is the guy”, he added.
If Miocic manages to beat “DC”, he’ll be facing Ngannou for the second time. The first bout between the pair took place in 2018 when the Croatian got the W via UD.
