Only a few days are left until the spectacular battles of elite fighters in the professional fight gala SENSHI 23, which will be held on September 7 in Varna, Bulgaria. Among the Bulgarian names in the international sporting event is the European and two-time world MMA champion Delyan Georgiev, who will step into the ring of SENSHI for the third time on the prestigious circuit after two consecutive victories.

“SENSHI is great – I like the whole organization and the fact that athletes from other countries with different skills are invited. I look forward to attending the international training camp. I always get the best out of the things around sports – discipline, mindset, lifestyle, improving myself and fighting pressure, contact with other people, sharing experiences,” said Delyan Georgiev.

Starting this week, he has begun two-round training sessions lasting about ten days. “My previous fights were not long ago, so I will get into the rhythm quickly. Ten days of twice-a-day training will be enough for me,” the MMA fighter noted.

“We are now in the final stages of preparation. My opponent is from Brazil, his name is Lucas Lima. He’s a little bit more complicated for me as an opponent this time, but it’s not something we haven’t faced. He’s got skills on the ground, he’s an undefeated fighter. He seems to me better than the previous two fighters [in SENSHI]”, commented Delyan Georgiev on the air of “Bulgaria in the Morning” TV show.

According to Georgiev, the trust between coach and athlete is critical to his performance and success in the ring. “We focused on stand-up fighting – striking with hands and feet. My game is equally good on the ground, and we will try to keep the fight standing in the stand-up. Then maybe we will attack it in the fight,” the Bulgarian champion told Bulgaria ON AIR viewers.
