The Russian southpaw was one of the best fighters of his generation, winning 23 of his 32 wins via KO. Lebedev made his pro debut in 2001, needing only three fights to claim the Russian light heavyweight title.
“The White Swan” was hoping to secure one last fight against former unified cruiserweight champ Oleksandr Usyk, but the Ukrainian boxer moved up to the heavyweight division. Then a planned fight with France’s Arsen Goulamirian was canceled last week, which obviously lead to the retirement decision.
