Former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder fought a proper fight, but in the end it was him who got dropped and stopped by Tyson Fury.
Wilder managed to knock down his opponent twice in the fourth round, right after he got dropped in the third. But when everybody thought “The Bronze Bomber” will explode in the fifth, it was all Tyson until the end.
After the fight Wilder said he did his best, but Wilder’s best is obviously nowhere near Fury’s best.
“I did my best, but it wasn’t good enough,” said Wilder afterwards. “I’m not sure what happened. I know that in training he did certain things, and I also knew that he didn’t come in at 277 to be a ballet dancer. He came to lean on me, try to rough me up and he succeeded.”
