Dragomir Petrov is the first SENSHI European Champion in the cat. -70 kg. after defeating Yu Hirono via unanimous decision in one of the most anticipated matches of SENSHI 17.

On November 25, he will face an extremely curious rematch against the familiar opponent from SENSHI 14 – Levan Guruli. The two know each other very well, and in their first meeting, Drago won a hard-fought split decision.

“I prepare mainly in Sliven with my coaches – Nikolay Neshev and Pavel Zhivkov. I improved my boxing with Toncho Tonchev and Krasi Kostov, who care for my fitness. For sparrings, we help each other with Atanas Bozhilov. After my last fight, I took a week off and returned to the gym to start a new training camp. I have the strongest year of my career, with six wins from six matches against opponents from six countries. I am extremely motivated to finish 2023 properly,” Petrov told Boec.

Drago also said that he will change his tactics for the rematch against Levan Guruli and is considering increasing the speed in this fight. I do not intend to leave any doubt as to who is the better of the two.

“I won’t hide that after the great year I’m having, my confidence is up, and I’m up for it. Gurili enters this match with nothing to lose, and I go in as the favorite. I am fully focused and aiming for another victory. I will impose my style of play, and everything will fall into place. I know my opponent well, and I think he won’t surprise me with anything,” he said.

Drago goes for the knockout, but it’s not a priority as every time he looks for the finish, he can’t fully develop his game. The Bulgarian considers his dedication in the training process, the strength he possesses, and his excellent defense to be his most potent weapon.
