EKF launches standing for 2023 European Games

The European Karate Federation (EKF) has issued the standings for the 2023 European Games.

Continuing the process of the last edition of the European Games which were held in Minsk (Belarus) in 2019, the standings for the 2023 European Games are based on the WKF World Ranking.

Competitors will be able to earn points throughout the qualification period for the event, which comprises from March 27, 2022, to March 2023. Competitions such as Karate 1 events, EKF Senior Championships in 2022 and 2023 and the 2021 World Championships will be considered for the standings.

In March 2023 (date to be confirmed) the final list of participants for the 2023 European Games will be announced.

Karate is one of the sports in the programme of the anticipated 2023 European Games to be held in Krakow-Malopolska (Poland). The multi-sport event is scheduled for June 21 to July 2, 2023, with the Karate competition slated for June 22-23.
