After their first weekend of shows since COVID-19, Fight 2 Win is continuing on their quest to bring great grappling cards to Dallas, stacking up this coming weekend’s cards with another series of elite BJJ athletes.
F2W 141, which takes places this Saturday, will feature a main event bout between Rafael Lovato Jr. and Arnaldo Maidana de Oliveira. Lovato is a familiar Fight 2 Win face with an impressive 5-1 record for the promotion. His opponent is also a F2W veteran and has multiple major titles, including a 2017 No-Gi Worlds win and a gold medal at the 2015 American Nationals.
The co-main event of the evening will be a bout between Bellator fighter and former UFC champion Benson Henderson and 2016 Pans champion Edwin Najmi. Although Henderson has made the most of his career in the MMA world, he’s also an avid grappler and has had success on the F2W stage. He’ll have to pull all the stops if he wants to defeat Najmi, though, who’s coming off the momentum of a win over Johnny Tama at F2W 136.
F2W 142, which will take place the following Saturday, will be welcoming back four-time ADCC champion Gabi Garcia in a main event match against Kendall Reusing. Their match will be for the heavyweight no-gi title, and both women will have their work cut out for them. Reusing won No-Gi Worlds as a black belt last year, and Garcia is a nine-time world champion herself.
Their match isn’t the only one to look forward to at the end of the month, either. 2019 No-Gi World Champions Johnny Tama and Dante Leon will also be on the card, with Tama making a very swift return following his recent win against Ethan Crelinsten at F2W 139. Leon’s last appearance on the show was also a success, and he took home the win against Isaque Bahiense at F2W 129.
