Neil Magny’s lat victory inside the Octagon made him the fighter with the most wins in UFC welterweight history.
Magny defeated Daniel Rodriguez via submission in the co-main event of UFC Vegas 64 and then he called out the former welterweight title challenger Gilbert Burns.
The American specifically asked for a showdown with Burns at UFC 283 in Rio de Janeiro on Jan. 21, and he said much of his request stems from a desire to show exactly where his ground game holds up.
Burns responded via social media stating that he has an opponent for UFC 283, but if the fight collapses, then Magny should get his wish granted.
Congrats @NeilMagny last time I heard @ufc said I have an opponent for 🇧🇷 if he doesn’t show up, we can dance I’m in 💯% to make this Fight happen! For now great finish and congrats on your record! ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
