Fans can expect to see Holly Holm making many more walks to the Octagon.
MMA Fighting’s Marc Raimondi confirmed with Holm’s manager Lenny Fresquez that the former bantamweight champion has signed a new six-fight contract with the UFC, following a report by ESPN. Holm’s previous deal had two fights remaining.
Holm, 37, is coming off of a unanimous decision win over Megan Anderson in her most recent outing at UFC 225 last June. “The Preacher’s Daughter” has fought at 145 pounds in her last two bouts, including a five-round unanimous decision loss to then-champion Cris Cyborg in December 2017. A former UFC champion and multiple-time boxing champion, Holm is 5-4 in the UFC and 12-4 overall in MMA.
A reported bantamweight bout between Holm and Aspen Ladd was supposed to take place on March 2 at UFC 235, but the matchup was eventually canceled. Holm does not currently have her next fight booked.
