Bulgarians and Macedonians will all cross fingers for their fighters in the European title fight at 85 kg. at the SENSHI gala on May 13th in Varna. That’s what the representative for North Macedonia Boban Ilioski thinks before the Eduard Aleksanyan fight.

The political tension between Sofia and Skopje will affect the Macedonian and Bulgarian crowd. I will be normal that they will want a victory for their national representative. I think that this is a good moment for me and Eduard to make the fight interesting. But we are athletes and we walk the same path. We both know how hard it is to be a fighter. That’s why for me personally politics don’t matter so much in this European title bout“, said Ilioski for Boec.com in response to a question about the growing tension between the two countries around the opening of Bulgarian social clubs in North Macedonia and the vandalism against them from local nationalist groups.

As for his training camp before the fight Boban is satisfied for now because everything is going according to plan. He is eager and humble for his changes at going for the best trophy SENSHI has to offer.

We are training according Eduard’s fighting style. He is a good fighter but never before has encountered an opponent at my level. This time he is having bit issues. I wish him bravery and lets have a great fight. Ous!“, added the challenger for the belt.
