UFC lightweight Jim Miller has tested positive for COVID-19 and was forced to withdraw from his fight next week against Nikolas Motta.
The pair was scheduled to fight on the UFC Fight Night 192 event in Las Vegas on September 18, but the 38-year-old veteran mandatory COVID-19 test came back positive and he won’t be able to compete.
Miller lost three of his previous four fights. He hasn’t fought since April 2021, when he lost to Joe Solecki via UD.
As for Motta, he had been looking to make his UFC debut against Miller after winning his spot on the roster via the Contender Series, and it’s unclear at this stage whether he’ll be kept on the card against a short-notice replacement or not.
