With one massive finish, Jorge Masvidal added two more bonuses to his collection.
Officials announced that Masvidal would be awarded a pair of $50,000 bonuses for his second-round KO of Darren Till in the welterweight main event of UFC London on Saturday. “Gamebred” received a Performance of the Night award and both he and Till will receive bonus checks for putting on the Fight of the Night.
Masvidal, a veteran of 46 pro bouts, now has five UFC post-fight bonuses. The last time he was given Performance of the Night it was for his TKO victory over Donald Cerrone back in January 2017.
Despite the loss, Till picked up his third fight night award.
The other $50,000 performance bonus went to featherweight Dan Ige, who defeated Danny Henry on the preliminary portion of Saturday’s card. Ige needed just 67 seconds to submit Henry with a rear-naked choke and win his third consecutive fight in the UFC. This is Ige’s first Performance of the Night bonus.
