Former WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker managed to beat Derek Chisora for a second straight time in their rematch that was held yesterday in Manchester, UK.
The New Zealander got the W via UD (115-110, 115-111, and 114-112). Both fighters put on a show for the fight fans with the bout being one of the very best heavyweight clashes of 2021.
Just like the initial fight in May. Parker was the one dictating the pace and the place of the fight, as he managed to drop “WAR” three times. Of course, Chisora once again reminded everybody of his iron chin and was coming back to the scrap every single time.
Parker was more creative with his shot selection, as he was landing uppercuts and body shots from unorthodox angles. Chisora, on the other hand, was also landing big shots to the body and the head, but Parker was absorbing those strikes pretty well.
Parker managed to knock down his adversary in the 4th, 7th and the 8th round. In the ninth, Chisora was close to being knocked out after Parker nailed him with a barrage of punches while he was backed against the ropes.
