A rematch between the undisputed light-welterweight champion Josh Taylor and Jack Catterall has been agreed for February 4th 2023, according to ESPN’s Miek Coppinger.
Instead of the rematch being for all four belts, it’ll just be Taylor’s lone WBO title, as he’s since vacated his IBF, WBA & WBC belts after defeating Catterall by a questionable 12 round split decision last February in Glasgow, Scotland.
Taylor won by the scores 114-111, 113-112, and 113-112 for Catterall. However, many boxing fans felt Catterall deserved the victory.
