Light welterweight undisputed champion Josh Taylor will be returning to action this December. The Scottish fighter will be facing his WBO mandatory challenger Jack Catterall at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro on 18 December.
This will be Taylor’s first fight since he defeated Jose Ramirez back in May and claimed all four belts in the division, making him the first Brit to become undisputed champ in the four belt era.
The pair had to meet earlier this year, but the 28-year-old Catterall stepped aside to allow the Ramirez fight to happen and now gets a shot at all four belts against the 30-year-old champion.
England’s Catterral hasn’t fought since November 2020, when he defeated France’s Abderrazak Houya via decision.
