A heavyweight matchup between Junior dos Santos and Ciryl Gane is officially set to go down in the UFC’s final PPV event of 2020.
The event UFC 256 takes place Dec. 12 at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas.
Dos Santos will look to snap the longest losing streak of his career as he’s been finished in his last three appearances. The former heavyweight champion was knocked out in the first round by Francis Ngannou in June 2019 and was put away in the second round in both of his 2020 bouts against Curtis Blaydes and, most recently, Jairzinho Rozenstruik at UFC 252.

Gane is one of the division’s surging up and comers as he sets out to extend his winning streak to seven.
“Bon Gamin” has yet to compete in 2020 for a variety of reasons, most recently due to a contract dispute in regards to his UFC Fight Island 6 opponent Ante Delija.
Gane is 3-0 in the UFC thus far with victories finishes of Raphael Pessoa and Don’Tale Mayes, along with a unanimous decision over Tanner Boser at UFC Busan this past December.
UFC 256 features two world title fights including Amanda Nunes defending her featherweight title against Megan Anderson in the main event and Petr Yan’s first bantamweight title defense in a co-headliner against Aljamain Sterling.
