Kelvin Gastelum gets a new opponent for UFC 273

With Nassourdine Imavov pulled from UFC 273 due to visa issues, the UFC has found a replacement opponent for former interim middleweight title challenger Kelvin Gastelum.

RSA’s Dricus du Plessis will be stepping in for Imavov and will fight Gastelum on April 9.

Du Plessis (16-2) is a former KSW and two-division EFC champion whose two UFC appearances have ended in knockouts over Markus Perez and Trevin Giles. All of du Plessis’ 16 pro wins have come inside the distance.

Du Plessis was scheduled to fight Anthony Hernandez on the April 9th card, but now Hernandez will be facing the newcomer and former LFA title challenger Josh Fremd.
