Kevin Holland drops down to welterweight

Kevin Holland has announced what everybody knew would happen at some point of time – he is dropping down to the welterweight division.

Holland, 29, has fought in the middleweight category since he joined UFC back in 2018. “Trailblazer” (9-4-1 UFC) hasn’t won a bout since December 2020 when he defeated Ronaldo Souza. Since then, he suffered two consecutive defeats and his last fight with Kyle Daukaus ended in a draw due to accidental clash of heads.

Holland made the statement on his Instagram profile, as he’ll be fighting once again in the welterweight division starting 2022.

Early in his professional career, Holland competed at 77 kilos for the XKO and LFA promotions among others. As of this moment Holland has no opponent for his promotional welterweight debut.
