UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov will finally face Tony Ferguson for the title.
Multiple sources report that UFC will try to make the fight on April 18th in Brooklyn, New York. Undefeated through his entire career, “The Eagle” Nurmagomedov will look for the third defense of his lightweight title after submitting both Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier in consecutive fights. Nurmagomedov has been a human wrecking machine since first arriving in the UFC but he may be facing his toughest test to date in April. Tony “El Cucuy” Ferguson has 12 straight wins behind him as well as a short stint as a interm lightweight champion back in 2017 when he defied Kevin Lee. In his last two outings he won over Anthony Pettis and Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone in a pair of TKO victories to cement his spot as the No. 1 contender at 155 pounds.
